A seasoned expert of capital market, accountancy and energy industry, having ample domestic and overseas financial management experience. He is a National Top Accounting Talent, owns Senior Accountant qualification, holds both certified public accountant credentials from China and UK (CICPA and ACCA), and has the qualification of Security Affair Representative from Shanghai Security Exchange.

Professor Li has worked many years for a leading central enterprise at the headquarters and its subsidiaries in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur respectively. He took charge of, carried out, and participated multiple billions-USD scale international M&As and IPOs for A share and H share, and managed large energy projects across China, South Korea, Malaysia, Egypt and other countries. He gained doctoral degree and MBA degree from world renowned universities including The Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Toronto. All these added together make him have affluent international working, studying, and living experiences and profound understanding of the communication between western and eastern cultures.

Professor Li's research interests include accounting, auditing, taxation, geographic economics, and blockchain. He has published more than a dozen articles on journals including Auditing Research, Finance and Accounting, Shenzhen Public Finance and Accounting Research, etc., and participated as an industry expert in accounting reform inquiries organized by the Ministry of Finance and Shenzhen Finance Bureau. Professor Li is a referee for Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, and Finance and Accounting. He serves on the ACCA Hong Kong Members' Journal and Communication Task Force ever since 2015. He is a consulting expert for Guangdong Ministry of Finance and also for Shenzhen Association of Social Science and Philosophy, and a senior member of Shenzhen Accounting Association as well.
